Description
Yellow Beeswax 5050 is refined by our long standing supplier in China, supplied in pellets for ease of use and contains maximum value of 18% hydrocarbon content.
Suitable for a wide range of cosmetic uses, this wax complies with the monographs of the British and European Pharmacopoeia for Cera Flava.
It has a characteristic fine-grained, matt, non-crystalline fracture; becomes soft and pliable when warmed by hand. Relative density, about 0.96.
This wax is practically insoluble in water; partially soluble in hot ethanol (90%) and in ether; completely soluble in fatty and essential oils.
Being twice filtered, this beeswax contains the negligible amounts of natural impurities such as pollen, oils or propolis.
Yellow Beeswax BP/Ph.Eur. has many functions in hair and skin products: stabiliser, thickener, texturiser, humectant, emollient, protecting agent. It is suitable for a whole range of skin and hair products from balms, ointments and salves to depilatories, creams, cleansers and lotion bars.
