Description
This is a soft clay-like modelling wax. It is easy to manipulate and model by hand at room temperature and can be softened even more by the heat of your hands.
Our modelling wax readily sticks to itself, allowing a model to be built up with additional wax where needed. It is a good alternative to modelling clay, having the benefit of not drying out over time and therefore being reusable. It can also be mixed with other waxes to fine-tune the hardness.
Our modelling waxes are used by sculptors and artists across the UK and the world, as well as some of the most prestigious schools of fine art, universities and medical teaching schools.
An inorganic filler is used to make the wax more workable. As a result, this modelling wax is unsuitable for direct casting. Waxes that are suitable to be cast directly are 1125 Unfilled Modelling Wax and 2424 Soft Unfilled Modelling Wax.
The standard colour available is off-white. Other stock colours are grey, bronze and terracotta. We can also custom-make most other colours – MOQ 100kg.
