Wax for Medical and Pharmaceutical Applications

Many of our medical and pharmaceutical waxes are used by the pharmaceutical industry to create ointments, creams and lotions, as well as being used by leading contact lens manufacturers.
We refine the majority of our beeswax to European Pharmacopoeia standard.
Due to the use of high acidity, high quality waxes, our Ph. Eur. grade beeswax makes excellent emulsions and is used in the excipient base for pharmaceutical creams and ointments.
We also supply waxes for physiotherapy treatments.
Our waxes are used as excipients and can come with a range of melting points to meet your needs.
We also offer different degrees of oil retention, emolliency, rigidity and gelling strength.

Optical Lens Wax Sticks

Our Optical Lens Wax Sticks are specialist waxes used in the manufacture of lenses of various types.
We produce a range of 5 different blocking waxes for the manufacture of rigid contact lenses and intraocular lenses. The initial forming of a contact or intraocular lens can be made by cutting on a lathe. Wax sticks are used to secure the lens to a steel button that spins on the mandrel.
We also manufacture wax blends for the manufacture of industrial lenses.
